1. Who is Bryon and Mark?
Bryon is a ladies man, who looks out for his friends, and gets in lots of fight. Mark is a shady kid who likes to steal stuff and get in trouble, he also likes getting in to fights. They are like brothers, and do everything together.



2. Who are the two young people Bryon meet at the hospital?
The two young people Bryon meet at the hospital are Cathy, M&M's sister and Mike. Bryon met Cathy by going to the snack bar in the hospital, and she happened to be working there. Bryon really liked Cathy and tried to ask her out on a date. He met Mike because his mom asked him to go talk to him in his hospital bed. Mike was in the hospital because he did a favor by driving around this black chick. When he was driving her around these kids beat him up and he had to go to the hospital.




3. What happens at the dance?
Mark gets in a fight defending his friend Curtis "Ponyboy" and Mark gets a beer bottle smashed over his head and has to go to the hospital. The fight was caused by Angela because she hated Curtis cause she was rejected by him.




4. What kind of relationship does Bryon have with Charlie?
Bryon's relationship with Charlie is a very close. Charlie is a owner of a pool/bar hall who always lets him in his bar, and lends him his car many of times and eventually Bryon gets his car because of a terrible accident.



5. What does Bryon begin to discover in his private conversations with Mark?
Bryon begins to discover in his private conversation with Mark is that Mark is changing a lot, and that they are growing farther and farther apart by the day.



6. What happens to Charlie? How Bryon and Mark about it?
Charlie gets shot above the eye and dies because he is trying to protect Bryon and Mark from these to Texans that they just hustled in pool. Mark doesn't take it hard at all compared to Bryon. Mark acted like nothing happened, and Bryon took it seriously and was upset.



7. What do Mark and Cathy think of each other?
Mark and Cathy do not like each other because they both take time away with Bryon that they want. They do this because Mark is Bryon's best friend and Cathy is his girlfriend.


8. What does Mark do to Angela? Why?
Angela is pasted out in the back of the car drunk, and Mark gets a pair of scissors and cuts all of her hair off. Bryon did not approve of this because he still had a sweet spot for her. Mark did this because he wanted to get revenged on her cause he got hit on the head with a bottle because of her.


9.In chapter seven, what does Bryon begin to discover about his good friend Mark?
In chapter seven, Bryon begins to discover about Mark that he is not changing and every one wants to be his friend. This brings them even more farther than before.


10.What happens to Bryon at Terry Jones' house? How does his attitude change?
Bryon goes to Terry Jones' house because he is looking for Mark. When he is waiting there the Shepherd boys go and talk to Bryon. They ask him if he knows anything about what happened to Angela's hair, Bryon said that he cut it off. When he says this they beat him up and he has to go to the hospital. Bryon attitude changes by, that he does not care that they beat him up and he doesn't want to get revenge on them.


11.In chapter nine, what happens to M&M? Why does this move Bryon?
In chapter nine, M&M runs away from home and goes to this free hippie house where a lot of the people do drugs. When Bryon, Cathy, and Mark make him go home he is rushed to the hospital because he did acid. His mind is blown, and vanished and he will never be the same again. This moves Bryon because he found out what drugs can do to you and he will never do them again.


12.What shocking discover does Bryon make in Mark's bedroom? What does he do?
Bryon is laying bed and he wants a cigarette, so he reaches under Mark's be d because Mark keep them under there but he pulls out a cylinder. Bryon opens the cylinder and there's a bunch of pills in the cylinder. Bryon ask Mark why he has these and Mark says he is selling them. When he says that Bryon calls the cops and Mark goes to jail.



13.How does Bryon's relationship with his friends and his attitude toward life completely change?
Bryon's relationship and attitude with his friends changes completely because he is mentally exhausted about caring for to many people at once.


14. How does Bryon feel at the end of the book?
Bryon feels week at the end of the book because he looks back at his decisions and notices he made bad ones and some good ones. He thinks about that how he thought about his decisions to much and he thought why couldn't he make his mind up like kid.


15. What do you think about this book and what life message does it teach?
I think the book was a great example to show to kids around and above my age that keeps your good friends and also have some other ones because you never know what will happen or occur.
